Built in India, built for data residency
Compliance platforms built for the United States market treat Indian regulation, Indian hosting and Indian buyers as an afterthought. NorthIron was built the other way around, by a security practice that runs the programmes it sells software for.
What this looks like today
Residency is a procurement blocker, not a preference
For a regulated Indian buyer, evidence sitting in another jurisdiction is the end of the conversation. It is not a feature comparison and it cannot be negotiated late.
Breadth is not the same as depth
A long framework list looks reassuring until you take on the second one and discover none of the first one's work carried over.
Software vendors hand you the hard part
The platform tracks your programme, and then the implementation, the evidence judgement and the audit coordination are yours to solve. That is where programmes stall.
What actually separates us
India data residency, including the AI
NorthIron runs in AWS Mumbai. Evidence, audit data and the AI evidence review all stay in region, which is the answer an Indian regulated buyer needs before anything else is worth discussing.
One control set underneath everything
Frameworks resolve to 144 atomic controls, with 93 of 93 ISO 27001 Annex A controls covered. The second framework is cheaper than the first because most of its evidence already exists, which is the only framework claim worth making.
AI evaluates. A named person approves
The AI review reads evidence against a control's acceptance criteria and returns a reasoned verdict. It never accepts anything. A named practitioner does, and their name is on it.
Delivery alongside the platform
NorthIron is built by a working security practice. The same people run penetration tests, cloud posture reviews and compliance programmes, and they can run yours, which is the part a software-only vendor refers out.
Judge us on the second framework, not the first
Any platform can get you through one certification. The question that separates them is what happens when a customer asks for the next one. On one atomic control set the answer is a delta, not a restart.
What changes once this is running
- Evidence and AI review hosted in India, on AWS Mumbai
- One control set, so the second framework reuses the first
- A named practitioner accountable for every approval
- Implementation and audit coordination available with the platform
Questions we are asked about this
Where is our data held?
In AWS Mumbai. That covers evidence, audit data and the AI evidence review, so nothing leaves the region for processing.
Is the AI making compliance decisions?
No. It reads evidence against the control's acceptance criteria and returns a verdict with its reasoning. Acceptance is a named practitioner's decision, recorded against their name.
Do you only work with Indian companies?
No. Residency matters most to buyers with an Indian regulator or an Indian customer, but the control set, the Evidence Vault and the audit workflow are the same wherever you are.
See it against your own programme
The call opens the product, not a deck. A practitioner walks you through this capability with your situation in front of them.
