Give your auditor a link, not a shared drive
Audit season usually means a folder of screenshots, a mail thread sixty replies deep, and one person who knows where everything is. NorthIron gives the auditor scoped, watermarked, view-only access to exactly the evidence they need, and gives you a running record of every finding and every response.
What this looks like today
Evidence lives in five places
Screenshots in a drive, logs in a ticket, policies in a wiki, approvals in mail. Assembling it takes weeks, and half of it goes stale before fieldwork starts.
Sharing evidence means losing control of it
A drive link is a drive link. You cannot revoke a downloaded file, you cannot prove which version the auditor saw, and you cannot stop it being forwarded.
Findings get lost in mail
The auditor flags a gap, someone replies, someone else replies to the reply, and by the closing meeting nobody can reconstruct what was agreed.
The audit happens inside the platform
The Evidence Vault
Every artefact lives in one store, linked to the atomic controls it supports and the frameworks those controls serve. Evidence arrives three ways: automatically from connected systems, semi-automatically where NorthIron pulls the data and a person confirms it, and manually where a person has to upload it.
- SHA-256 hashing on every artefact, so integrity is provable
- Version history, with a collection date and refresh cycle on each item
- One artefact can serve several controls across several frameworks
Scoped audit links
Package the evidence for a specific audit and share it as a scoped link. The auditor sees only what is in scope. Documents are watermarked and view only, with download disabled. Access is time bound and revocable.
A findings workflow instead of a mail thread
The auditor raises a discrepancy against a specific piece of evidence. Your team responds in the same place. The auditor accepts or rejects. Every exchange is timestamped and rolls up into the audit record, so the closing report is written from the trail rather than from memory.
AI evidence review
For manually uploaded evidence, NorthIron runs an AI review that checks whether the artefact supports the control it was filed against, and returns a structured verdict with its reasoning. It catches the classic problem of a screenshot that proves something adjacent to the requirement but not the requirement itself. The review is advisory: a named practitioner accepts or rejects, and the review runs in AWS Mumbai, so evidence stays in India.
Auditors get a link, not an account
Scoped access, watermarked pages, view only, no downloads. Every file carries a SHA-256 hash. Discrepancies are flagged, answered and closed inside the platform.

Most platforms stop at storing evidence
NorthIron carries the audit itself: the package, the auditor's access, the findings, the responses and the resolution. Your auditor works inside the platform rather than around it, which is the difference between an evidence request cycle measured in weeks and one measured in days.
What changes once this is running
- One evidence store serving every framework and every audit
- Provable integrity through hashing and version history
- View-only, watermarked, revocable auditor access
- A complete findings and response record per audit
- AI review of manual evidence before the auditor sees it
Questions we are asked about this
Can our auditor use NorthIron without buying a licence?
Yes. Auditors get access through a scoped link tied to a specific audit package. They do not need their own subscription.
Can the auditor download our evidence?
No. Shared evidence is view only and watermarked, with download disabled by default.
What happens to evidence between audits?
It stays live. Each artefact carries a refresh cycle, and NorthIron flags items that have aged past it, so you are not rebuilding the pack from scratch next year.
See it against your own programme
The call opens the product, not a deck. A practitioner walks you through this capability with your situation in front of them.
